Watts New

Watts Keep it in the Family

Robert Watts are delighted to announce their third President of the Bradford & District Auctioneers & Estate Agents Association. James Watts, eldest son of the founder Robert Watts, takes over the Presidency from Justin Robinson in March and follows in the footsteps of his father and brother who held the position in 2000 and 2005 respectively.

The prestigious association was established nearly a century ago and is made up by a number of well respected estate agents, chartered surveyors and auctioneers within the Bradford district. The main role of the association is to promote professionalism within an industry where distrust is rife amongst members of the public. The aim to is to protect the public against inexperienced and unprofessional agents and act as a forum to promote new ideas in-conjunction with other professional bodies such as the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and National Association of Estate Agents and the Ombudsman scheme.

James Watts is a chartered surveyor and along with being a director of the successful estate agency, runs the professionally qualified arm of the business providing surveys and valuations on both commercial and residential properties as well as dealing with commercial agency instructions.

James comments;
“I am extremely honoured to accept this position and I am keen to promote the organisation in the best way possible. The Bradford Association is a prestigious body with an important role to play in improving the image of this badly maligned profession.”

He adds “Robert Watts Estate Agents is delighted to promote the Association as it encourages the same ethics and beliefs that we and keen to address as a company.  I understand this is the first time three members of the same family have become president so I feel this is a unique and fantastic honour.”
