Watts in a Name …

WATTS Cadmans Estate Agents in Cleckheaton has been renamed. The branch in Northgate is now called Robert Watts Estate Agents the name is all that’s changed and customers can still expect to receive the same excellent service they always have. The Watts Cadmans brand was first established in 2003 and was a joint venture between two well respected local firms, Robert Watts and Cadmans solicitors and was essentially split in to two departments:

Watts Cadmans Property Transfer Service who now provide conveyancing services for customers and Watts Cadmans Estate Agents who provided estate agency services in the Cleckheaton and Kirklees areas in-conjunction with Robert Watts estate agents. This led to some confusion with people, who were unsure as to whether the company had any ties with Robert Watts. Company directors feel that renaming the Cleckheaton branch put an end to this confusion and will create more synergy throughout the five estate agency branches, giving the Cleckheaton office closer ties with the other four sales offices aswell as the other thriving departments within Robert Watts - including the chartered surveyors, rentals and commercial division.

Bob Watts, director and founder of the company, said: “Initially our hands were tied to a certain extent by Law Society regulations governing the name of the new venture, hence we compromised on the name of the associated estate agents. “I realise this did create confusion, especially for our customers in Cleckheaton and Birkenshaw where there were sometimes two different estate agents purporting to be the same company. Hopefully the new name change will end this confusion and all our customers will benefit under the Robert Watts banner.”

Customers are now guaranteed all the benefits available though the rest of the Robert Watts branches, namely the company’s 25 years experience and professional image.
