National Children’s Gardening Week Events
Various dates at a number of venues
Half term is National Children’s Gardening Week and a number of garden centres across the Bradford area are joining in the fun. At ACW garden centre on Canal Road, there is a treasure trail and pot plant workshops for kids.
There is rock painting at Kershaw’s in Brighouse on Thursday 31st, as well as other activities throughout the holiday.
See, Hear, THINK
National Science and Media Museum, Bradford
The National Science and Media Museum’s scientific centrepiece Wonderlab is the venue for a different kind of treasure hunt. Your kids can download the museum’s Treasure Hunt app and explore the intriguing and exciting exhibits.
It gives them challenges to complete and they can even play against their friends, adding to the museum experience. The learning and fun don’t have to stop when you go home, though. The app can still keep them busy even when you’re not at the museum.
Wednesday 30th May, Bracken Hall, Baildon
If the weather holds, Wild Wednesdays are the perfect opportunity to get outdoors with the kids. The fun starts at 2pm until 4pm and there are a number of nature-based activities to undertake in the open air at the top of Shipley Glen. All the tasks are linked to the time of year and weather, with families exploring the local area and environment. Just drop in and take part!
