Wibsey is a well established and busy suburban village located on the outskirts of Bradford.

The local area is home to Al-Jamia Suffa-Tul-Isla, an architectural gem and Bradford’s official grand mosque, and a range of popular schools of all ages are available. Appleton Academy is the most highly regarded of those and is situated in an ultra-contemporary building.

A range of essential shops as well as pubs and restaurants line the streets of this fantastic village and is host to a variety of brilliant green spaces.

A range of sporting facilities are available in Wibsey, which include the likes of Clayton Golf Club; Bradford Park Avenue Football Club; Sedburgh Leisure Centre; and the Provident/Odsal Sports Stadium.

Take a stroll through the many parks including Wibsey Park and Harold Park, which includes a fishing pond; sculptures, fitness equipment; walking routes and more, whilst Judy Woods plays home to 40 hectares of tranquil woodlands and is the third largest of its kind in Bradford.

Local transport

From Wibsey, Bradford town centre is just 10 minutes away, whilst Halifax and Haworth are other popular alternatives and can be accessed in around 20 to 25 minutes. The village also has various local bus services that serve nearby towns, cities and residential areas including Buttershaw, Halifax Town Centre and Bradford City Centre.
