Christmas is just around the corner, and there are plenty of festive activities taking place in and around Bradford this month!
If you are searching for the perfect way to celebrate Christmas this December, we have put together a list of some of the best activities for you and your family to get involved with, from Christmas crafts to festive shows.
The BID Wheel
Centenary Square, Bradford | Open until 21st December
Open every day, the 22-metre high BID Wheel gives you the chance to soak up panoramic views of Bradford from above and is perfect for all ages. When you return to the ground, you can also enjoy a bratwurst and churros from the nearby stalls.
Tickets for the BID Wheel are £3.
Christmas Family Fun
Ilkley Manor House | 13th December
Head to Ilkley Manor House on the 13th December for a special Christmas edition of their family fun event.
Running from 2pm to 3:30pm, the family fun session includes jolly crafts, guided by our volunteers and staff, plus this is your opportunity to see the house beautifully decorated for Christmas.
Booking is not necessary for the event and entry is free, although donations are welcome.
The Christmas Spectacular
LIFE Church Bradford | 14th December
A free event for all the family, the Christmas Spectacular is over an hour of live music, dancing and acting, featuring all of your Christmas favourites. After the show, the festive treats continue with a mini funfair and donkey rides.

Santa’s Grotto
Tong Garden Centre | Open until 24th December
Meet Santa at Tong Garden Centre this December.
This 20-30 minute immersive experience will take your children through a woodland, igloo and Mrs. Santa’s kitchen, before a magical meeting with Santa. Elves will guide you through the trail while telling you a festive story before your children go to meet Santa and get their present.
Tickets are £21.95 per child and are available to buy online at the Tong Garden Centre website.
Snow White
Alhambra Theatre | 6th December – 18th January
He’s behind you! The Snow White Sparkles pantomime is running at the Alhambra Theatre throughout Christmas, until the 18th of January.
Starring Yorkshire panto legend Billy Pearce, Sinitta and Myra DuBois, Snow White is the perfect pantomime for all ages, with plenty of audience interaction to get everyone involved in the show.
Tickets begin at £15 and can be booked in advance at the Bradford Theatres website.
Elf Explorer
Keighley & Worth Valley Railway | Running until 21st December
Step on board this magical steam train journey, packed with Christmas cheer.
New for this year, before boarding you will be treated to a 20-minute interactive show, which begins the story for the Elf Explorer. Once the show is over, the elves will escort you to the train to begin your journey.
Before joining the train, children will also have the chance to write a letter to Santa. Parents this is your chance to visit ‘Rudolph’s refreshments’, visit our fully stocked bar for a Christmas tipple to take with you on the train.
Over the next hour, experience the rest of the Elf Explorer story from the singing and dancing elves, as well as juice and chocolate coins for the kids, mulled wine and mince pies for the adults, plus a visit from Father Christmas, with gifts for every child.
