We are thrilled to present the Vic Southerington Award for 2025 to Sarah Beech from our accounts and lettings team.
Launched in memory of our late colleague, the award was presented to Sarah by Vic’s wife, Margaret Southerington. Vic, who sadly passed away in April 2020 from Covid, started working for Robert Watts in the early 1980s as a Valuer in our first office on Bolton Road, and we are proud to be able to continue to present this award to our team in his memory.
Traditionally, employee of the year awards are presented to someone from the most profitable branch, however, we didn’t feel as though this fit with Vic’s ethos, so we decided that instead the award would go to an individual who displayed the highest level of tenacity and has gone above and beyond in the pursuit of excellent customer service.
Kate Watts said: “Sarah is one of the unsung heroes of our team, working behind the scenes as part of our accounts and lettings team.
“She has worked for us for 40 years, including 10 years in the lettings team and without Sarah, we wouldn’t be able to get through the week.
“Sarah is a really well-deserving winner of the Vic Southerington award; she makes a massive impact on the team and our performance as a business, and we are delighted to be able to celebrate her achievements this year.”
Congratulations, Sarah! We are very grateful for all of your hard work over the years, and we are delighted to be able to present you with the Vic Southerington Award for this year.
