With Zoopla reporting that sales are being agreed at the fastest rate in four years, is now the best time to sell your home? We’ve put together some of the latest market data from what we are seeing first-hand across our area, plus the latest info in the Zoopla House Price Index, to help you understand more about what is happening in the market right now.

House Prices

Over the last 12 months, Zoopla have recorded a 2.4% increase in house prices across Yorkshire and the Humber. Across Bradford, in the areas we cover, the current average house price is £200,000. This means that in Bradford, you are still getting excellent value for your money and across West Yorkshire in general, prices are remaining reasonable, with the average price in Leeds sitting at £212,700.

Properties For Sale & Sale Speed

In the last year, we have seen an increase in the number of properties coming to the market. Zoopla are also reporting similar stats, with a 14% increase in the number of properties for sale on this time in 2024.

For sellers, this means that there will be more competition from other sellers when it comes to finding a buyer for your property, so it’s key to make sure your home is listed on the market at the right price.

In the last month, the speed of sales being agreed also hit a four-year high. According to Zoopla, the average time for a sale to be agreed is now at 45 days, which is great news if you are looking to make a speedy sale, especially if you already have an onward purchase in mind.
