Earliest memory
My earliest memory of Robert Watts Estate Agents is sitting on Jayne Gallagher’s knee (who still works for us) at our Bolton Road office behind the counter and drawing a window card of a house. At the time I couldn’t understand why Dad wouldn’t let me actually put it in the window display!
What does 40 years of Robert Watts mean to you?
It means that Dad set up the foundations for us to grow the business. It proves that he and now us are doing a good job and that our reputation speaks for itself.
Career highlight
This has most definitely got to be when we won the ESTAS award in 2016 for Best Letting Agent in Yorkshire and Humber and 3rd Best Agent in the Country. We then got to meet Phil Spencer and have a chat with him which was interesting.
What does the next 40 years look like?
Wow – this is a difficult question to answer. I am not sure that any of us will be still working at 83 and 87 to be honest, but I want to grow the business to hand down to our children if that’s what they want.
