Ready to embrace spooky season, or looking forward to a spectacular firework display? You will be spoilt for choice across Bradford and Kirklees this year, with a huge range of fantastic events taking place!

We’ve collated a few of the incredible events happening across the region below.

 

Halloween Events

Bradford BID Pumpkin Trail

Beginning on Thursday 27th October and running till Saturday 29th October, there will be ten music-related scenes across the city centre. All of the pumpkins are carved by the amazing team at Sand in Your Eye.

A pumpkin carving workshop will also be taking place outside The Broadway Shopping Centre on Friday 28th October. This is a fantastic free autumn activity – perfect for children!

Haunted Haworth Ghost Tours

Do the ghosts of Bramwell and Emily Brontë still roam the moors? Find out with Haunted Haworth.

Taking place on a range of dates from the 14th October until 4th November, the Haworth Ghost Walks offer a haunted journey through Brontë country with local ghostologist Adam Sargent. Tickets are £10 for adults and £7 for children, with under 5’s going free!

Fangs on Film

 Taking place at Pictureville Cinema, Fangs on Film is running from the 14th to the 30th October and will offer a host of classic vampire films, perfect for Halloween. Showings begin with the 1965 film Dracula: Prince of Darkness, and throughout the fortnight there will be a range of films on offer for all ages, including Twilight, Blade, and the 1935 Dracula.

Tickets for the cinema are priced at £8 for adults and £6 for children, with a range of concessions available.

 

Half-term Family Fun – National Science & Media Museum

This half-term, the National Science & Media Museum are hosting a range of events each day, perfect for families and children. From children’s story times to special effects workshops, these free events are fantastic for both younger and older children alike.

 

Bonfire Night

 

Bradford Fireworks Extravaganza

Organized by Bradford Funfairs, Bradford Fireworks Extravaganza is taking place on Saturday 5th November from 5.30 pm in Peel Park. Featuring two stunning firework displays, a funfair and food and drink stalls, this is sure to be a brilliant night out for all the family.

Tickets for this event are £5, with free entry for children under 1m tall.

 

Bradford BID Firework Display

If you live within the city centre, this free event hosted by Bradford BID at City Park is the place to be on 12th November. Later in the month than typical bonfire night celebrations, this event is taking place in conjunction with the city’s Christmas light switch on.

This family-friendly event will be visible across the city from within the ring-road, but head down to the centre of the action for music and the best views of the 700ft high firework display.

 

Elland Round Table Bonfire and Firework Display

Back for 2022, the Elland Round Table bonfire promises a ‘bumper’ event this November. Taking place on Saturday 5th November at Hullen Edge Recreation Ground, the event will host VIP guest and local legend, Hannah Cockroft MBE, for the evening alongside raising money for essential charities and community causes.
